Back Lash update
I’m going to let you in on a little secret here. I’m nervous. When I get nervous I tend toward being really quiet and holding very still.
But sometimes being nervous can be because of a great thing. It can be because I’m very excited about something. This is one of those exciting times.
I’m e-publishing a new Shame and Terric book. BACK LASH is the third book with these two characters at the helm and it comes out on November 12th.
If you haven’t read the first two books: HELL BENT and STONE COLD–no worries. This book takes place a year after Stone Cold, and I wrote it to stand on its own two feet. This book also marks my first step into ebook-first publishing and that’s been a fun new experience.
Here is the summary from the back of the cover:
Magic isn’t a blessing with drawbacks, it’s a curse with upsides.
Shame Flynn and Terric Conley hadn’t meant to become the living, breathing vessels for Death and Life magic. But they hadn’t meant to die, be reborn, break magic, save the world, and kill a few psychopaths along the way, either.
The one thing they had meant to do was to seal magic away so it could never be used to kill again.
When a string of dead bodies–people killed by magic–appear throughout Portland, Oregon, Shame and Terric must scramble to uncover who broke the locks on magic and how.
Before Terric’s sister becomes the next target.
Before the Russian mob locks them in their sights.
Before the question of who can control magic is decided by bullets and blood.
I’m so excited to share this story with you all.
If you are a reviewer, and would like to read and review BACK LASH, please contact me. (email button here on my web page works best).
Oh, and stay tuned! On Monday, November 9th, I’ll do the official cover reveal.

Yaay! Can’t wait! Do you think there might be a print edition down the road for us old-fashioned types — just so we can complete the set in hard copy?
And I gotta ask — is there any possibility of a new book in the Age of Steam series? I’ll take anything, even if it’s only in ebook form!

I second this one.

Please release a hard copy if at all possible! But also, at the same time, everyone who wants a hard copy don’t wait for one before buying! I really much prefer hard copies and dislike ebooks, but I’m still going to buy the ebook. Without sales, a hard copy would never happen 🙂
