What is WAYWARD SOULS about? Well, it’s a little bit urban fantasy, a little bit road novel traveling old Route 66, and a little bit two cursed souls doing everything they can to survive. Here’s what the back of the book says:

How many books will there be in this series? Currently, the plan is six. Two will come out in 2021.
Is this a part of any other series? Not really. If you’ve read my Ordinary Magic series, you may recognize a god or monster roaming about in these books. But you do not have to read any of my other books to jump right into these. They’re sort of their own new, magical thing.

I read it and reviewed it on Goodreads. Easy 5 stars. A great new tale of star crossed lovers that brings emotions similar to The Princess Bride. Incredible journey and even more incredible denouement.
