Wobble Gnome Knit
My newsletter went out a few days ago and this is the newest knit I’m giving away in it:
He’s knitted and felted and weighted on the bottom. The idea is you can take off his hat, give him a little push and he’ll bounce right back upright. While he has achieved the wobble-but-don’t-fall-down thing a few times, he’s not very reliable about it.
He does, however have some mighty eyebrows which are poseable. Oh, the possibilities!
For all you knitters out there, the stripes in that hat couldn’t be done by carrying the yarn up the rows because it would mess with the felting process (or so the pattern explained.) I wove in so many loose ends!
Dealing with loose ends is one of those tedious finishing touches that comes with knitting. It’s sort of like the last-pass proofreading step on a book before you hit publish. It has to be done, but it ain’t nobody havin’ fun doing it. 😉
Speaking of last-pass proofreading (see what I did there?) I will be doing that last-pass proofread on WAYWARD MOON, book #2 in the Souls of the Road series this weekend. Then it will finally (finally) be available for readers.
Thank you for your patience. Links and cover to follow very soon!
