Road Trip in a Nutshell

A couple weeks ago, we did a one-week about 3,000 mile RV road trip through Oregon, California, Nevada, and Arizona. I was looking forward to visiting Sedona for the first time, and it did not disappoint.

We took a Vortex tour, had lunch downtown, and saw so many gorgeous views. Flagstaff was a wonderful shady place to camp, and our busy day of driving Route 66 to see the Petrified Forest, Jack Rabbit Trading Post, corner in Winslow, Arizona, and Meteor Crater was great fun!

But the drive north through Nevada really took my breath away. I didn’t expect it to be so beautiful, and I admit I fell in love with Nevada a little (a lot). We did a bit of opal mining, then rattled on home into Oregon, stopping at our favorite mom-and-pop diner for milkshakes.

It was a wonderful trip. It was a HOT trip (our RV driving AC failed us!). And I can’t wait to do it again someday!
